Metro battery charging and discharging unattended detection system V1.1


1. R&D Backgroud

The charging and discharging operation cycle of the battery in Suzhou Metro Line 1 is 5 days (discharge on the first day, charge the next day, and cycle twice). Each charge time is 8 hours and the discharge time is 4 hours. Every single hour of the process requires the measurement of the voltage of all battery cells. The measurement is manual detection and recording. The charging process is manual wiring measurement, and the labor intensity is high. Inefficiency, if there is a slight misoperation, it may result in short circuits and burning, and employees may mistakenly touch the battery electrolyte (alkali) and corrode the skin.


According to the requirements of Suzhou battery project development, an automatic detection device for battery charge and discharge was developed to realize the timing detection of signals such as voltage, current, and electro-hydraulic temperature. In addition, alarms and shutdowns can be provided in case of faults and battery problems.


2. R&D technical route

-- Frame structure design: easy access to the battery box, pick and place operations.
--Temperature polling detection: Non-contact infrared temperature sensor (integrated laser focus positioning) is installed on the servo mobile platform to implement polling detection.
-- Real-time detection of voltage and current: Use the probe press mechanism to act on the battery electrical contact point and conduct real-time detection through the transmitter.
-- Remote monitoring: The use of camera on-site monitoring and smoke alarm system, through the Ethernet connection monitoring site and central monitoring room, real-time remote monitoring.

-- Using non-contact laser focus positioning infrared detection temperature technology, stable performance, reliable detection.
-- Using three-axis servo drive control, the positioning accuracy is plus or minus 0.05mm, with accurate detection and high repeatability.
-- Adopting two battery box dual-span structure design with high detection efficiency.
-- The positioning coordinates can be set flexibly, the position of the probe tool can be adjusted, and it is compatible to detect multiple types of battery detection.

-- Using large-span three-axis servo control with repetition accuracy of 0.05mm.
-- For the first time, non-contact focusing infrared temperature sensor technology is used to detect the internal temperature through a small hole.
-- Use elastic probe mechanism for reliable detection of battery terminal voltage.
-- Integrated video surveillance for remote monitoring of field devices.
-- Using 4G remote monitoring technology, it can remotely monitor equipment operation status and maintenance services, and realize information networking of the Internet of Things.
