In mid September, China railway Fourth Survey and Design Institute sent 80 engineering technicians, Yicheng, Dangyang two working groups to carry out the Xiang(Yang) Jing (Men) Yi(Chang) high-speed rail site survey. The work will be completed by the end of October, and the feasibility study report will complete in the year, which create conditions and lay the foundation for starting the project.
The survey focused on the line, the station's location coordinates, elevation and engineering geological structure survey, drilling, collect hydrological, meteorological, seismic, cultural relics, geological disasters, and other related information. Municipal Development and Reform Commission Organization of urban and Rural Planning Bureau, Zhongxiang City, Dongbao District, Zhanghe district's resposible person docked with the expert group on the Jingmen section of the line and station setting scheme, visited the part of the line and Zhou River, bridge, Kameyama high-speed rail station site.
Xiang Jing Yi high-speed rail is Hubei Province's national major project- "13th Five-Year" and the first promoting project that Ministry of Railways focused in 2016 which leaders at all levels pay attention to. During the 2016 national NPC and CPPCC, Hubei province leader Wang Xiaodong to the Ministry of Railway to report Xiang Jing Yi high-speed rail project and request its support. On March 2016, vice governor of Hubei Xu Kezhen to the scene of the office of Jingmen for special topics on the construction of high-speed rail in Jingmen and arrangement for the promoting work. In May 2016, the Hubei provincial government and the municipal government has set up the appropriate command Xiang Jing Yi high-speed rail projects. At present, Xiang Jing Yi high-speed rail has been incorporated into the national plan of action in the medium and long term railway network planning of major transportation infrastructure from 2016 to 2018 three years, is a key project in Hubei "13th Five-Year" railway planning.
